Submarine Day Celebrations

The Submarine Arm of the Indian Navy is a frontline arm of the defence forces, always on the fore front to ensure security of the nation and deliver the right punch to the adversary when required. The arm was inducted on 08 Dec 1967 and hence this day every year, holds tremendous significance in the lives of submariners and their families who willingly undergo hardships of enormous proportions while their family care takers go underwater and incommunicado for prolonged durations. This day is commemorated by organising ‘Pandubbi Diwas’ for the families of all submariners and a customary cocktails in honour of all retired and serving members of this distinguished arm.

This year it was held on the 27th December, Sunday at the Kohli Stadium in Colaba. Gold’s Gym, as part of its CSR Activities, associated with the event. A health & nutrition work-shop was conducted for the submariners and their families. We even distributed 20 prizes for the winners of the sport events. The response was overwhelming!!!
