The connection between mental well-being and environmental degradation is not something that is often brought out from under the carpet but to think of it, the theory makes utmost sense. It is only when people are discontent with the current happenings in their life that they tend to over-consume; in turn delivering death blows to the planet. Unhappy people tend to over-eat, over-drink, consume drugs, antidepressants and stimulants, eventually disturbing the natural balance, polluting water bodies and poisoning fertile land with the toxic waste and toxic surplus.
